Plain-English summary: upspun is free to use and is supported by affiliate commissions. Some outbound links to retailers are affiliate links. 1. Material connection (FTC 16 CFR Part 255)
In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, upspun discloses that it has a material connection with certain merchants and affiliate networks. We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and may participate in other affiliate programs and networks. As an Amazon Associate, upspun earns from qualifying purchases.
2. Which links are affiliate links
Affiliate links appear only on outbound "where to buy" / "check price" style buttons and product links to retailers. They are labelled on the page where they appear. Links to Reddit threads, forums, news articles, manufacturer specs, and other evidence we cite are never affiliate links — they exist so you can verify our sources.
3. Prices and availability
Prices, price ranges, and availability shown on upspun are estimates gathered at the time of the search and can change without notice. The price displayed on the retailer's own page at checkout is the only accurate price. Clicking an affiliate link never changes the price you pay.
4. Compensation does not buy coverage
We do not accept payment for reviews, higher scores, favourable wording, or the removal of negative findings. Merchants and networks do not see or approve our content before publication. Products we can earn commission on regularly receive low scores and "skip it" verdicts, and products we earn nothing from are recommended whenever the evidence supports it.
5. How products and alternatives are chosen
The product on a results page is the one you searched for. Alternatives are selected from what owners and independent sources actually recommend for that use case and budget — not from a list of highest-paying programs.
6. Cookies set by affiliate links
